2022 Trail
The Bradley Stoke Scarecrow Trail will return for 2022 over the two-week period Saturday 13th August to Saturday 27th August, with a new theme: ‘Superheroes and Villains’.
Mayor Cllr Tony Griffiths is inviting all to take part in this year’s fun-packed trail which will be a summer holiday activity for the whole family.
Previous scarecrow trails in 2020 and 2021 have highlighted the local creative talent within the town and the aim is to provide an affordable local event for everyone.
Prizes will include 1st £100, 2nd £75, and 3rd £50. Trail followers can vote their favourite scarecrow on the bottom of the map and there will be an additional ‘quiz prize’ for all completed answers identifying each scarecrow. On top of this, the mayor will give a prize for his own personal favourite scarecrow.
If you would like to be a scarecrow creator, please email Del McIntosh (odile.mcintosh@yahoo.co.uk) or call 07796 190794. There is an entry donation fee of £10. If you want a specific character, please get in touch as soon as possible. See: Scarecrow Trail 2022 Creator Entry Form (MS Word)

UPDATE from Bradley Stoke Town Council on Friday 5th August: The maps have now arrived and will be on sale from Monday 8th August. A council source said: “The delay to the printing was to enable a few last minute entrants to be confirmed.”
UPDATE from Bradley Stoke Town Council: “Unfortunately, due to an unforeseen delay, it is unlikely that the Scarecrow Trail maps will be available on 1st August. Watch this space for an announcement when the maps arrive.”
Map corrections
- Scarecrow #2 has been misprinted on the maps. You will find him at 27 Brackendene, BS32 9DJ.
- Not printed on the map for some reason, but there is a scarecrow at St Mary’s Old Boys RFC, Northwood Park, Trench Lane, BS36 1RY.
