Bradley Stoke Town Council has announced that it will be launching its 2023 Charity Scarecrow Trail on Saturday 21st October at 9am. The trail will run throughout the half-term school holiday and close on Sunday 29th October at 6pm. Trail maps costing £2 can be purchased from the council’s three activity centres and a number of other locations around the town.

Bradley Stoke Town Council has put out a call for scarecrow builders ahead of the 2023 renewal of the town’s annual charity scarecrow trail. The theme for 2023 is “international” and the trail will run over the school half-term holiday, from 21st to 29th October. Entries are invited from individuals, families, community organisations and businesses.

The 2021 Bradley Stoke Scarecrow Trail held over the school summer holidays was a resounding success with hundreds of local families taking on the challenge of visiting all 29 figures. This was the second year for this community event, with the theme of the scarecrows this time being characters from children’s books, films or nursery rhymes.

It is here again! Following the success of last year’s “Wizards and Witches” scarecrow trail held in October 2020, which raised almost £2,000 for charity, it will be returning for two weeks in the school summer holidays, from Saturday 14th August to Saturday 28th August 2021.

Families on the recent Bradley Stoke ‘Famous Wizards and Witches’ scarecrow trail who visited Baileys Court Activity Centre in search of the Abacus Pre-School figure shown on the trail map may have been confused to find not one just scarecrow at the site, but THREE!

Bradley Stoke’s first-ever charity scarecrow trail held over the half-term school holiday was a resounding success with an estimated 600 families taking on the challenge of visiting all 26 figures, each depicting a famous witch or wizard.

Bradley Stoke Town Council’s first-ever Scarecrow Trail has attracted around 30 entrants who will now go on to make a figure and display it over the autumn half-term holiday. Members of the public will be able to take part in the trail from 24th to 31st October.

It is with great excitement that Bradley Stoke Town Council invites the schools, businesses and residents of Bradley Stoke, to participate in a new community event that the town council will be hosting during the October half-term.
