A planning application for the construction of two 4-storey apartment blocks on vacant land at the southern end of Bradley Stoke Way looks set to be approved at a council committee meeting this Thursday (4th July). Officers at South Glos Council have recommended approval of the application despite it attracting objections from 62 local residents and the town council.

Revised plans submitted for Bradley Stoke Way apartments scheme
Woodstock Homes has submitted revised plans for its application to build a two-block apartment scheme on land at the southern end of Bradley Stoke Way. Following discussions with South Glos Council, the applicant has now revised its plans to reduce the number of apartments from 57 to 50, in order to “create space on the ground for additional parking and an offset from Bradley Stoke Way”.

A decision on a controversial planning application for the construction of two 4-storey apartment blocks on Bradley Stoke Way is unlikely to be made until next spring, the Journal can reveal. The application has so far attracted 51 comments of objection, with none in support. Included in the list of objectors are Bradley Stoke Town Council and one of the two ward councillors for Bradley Stoke South.

A formal planning application has now been submitted for a proposed development of 57 one- and two-bedroom apartments on land at the southern end of Bradley Stoke Way. Woodstock Homes, a privately owned developer based in the South West, wants to build two 4-storey apartment blocks on a triangular-shaped area of “low quality grassland” opposite the junction with The Worthys.
