Tories retain three Bradley Stoke seats on South Glos Council but lose one to Labour

A candidate from the Labour Party has won one of the four Bradley Stoke seats on South Gloucestershire Council, meaning that the Conservatives no longer hold all the town’s seats for the first time since 2011. Candidates announced for district and town elections in Bradley Stoke

Candidates have been announced for the South Gloucestershire district elections and Bradley Stoke town elections, both of which take place on Thursday 4th May. A total of four seats are up for grabs in the two Bradley Stoke wards of South Gloucestershire Council along with all 15 seats on Bradley Stoke Town Council.

Voters will need to show photo ID at the local elections on Thursday 4th May

Residents of the Stokes are being reminded that photo identification will be required in order to vote in person at a polling station in the upcoming local elections on Thursday 4th May. You may already have a form of photo ID that is acceptable, such as a passport or driving licence. Voters without an accepted form of photo ID can apply online for a free Voter Authority Certificate.
