The Finance Committee of Bradley Stoke Town Council considered applications for funding from local organisations and community groups at its recent December meeting. Netballers take to the road to raise funds for cancer support

Junior members of Bradley Stoke’s TJ’s Netball Club staged a sponsored cycle ride earlier this week to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Club member Hayley Clements (27) was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer and is about to start a course of radiotheraphy following surgery. Throughout this difficult time, Hayley has received lots of advice, information and support from Macmillan.

This weekend in Bradley Stoke

Friday (31st October) sees a performance of “Spoonface Steinberg” at Bradley Stoke Community School (7pm start). The event is intended to raise the profile of the performing arts within Bradley Stoke, an aim of the school since it was designated a Performing Arts and Languages College in September 2008. The play is suitable for children over 10 years of age.
