South Glos Council has published further details of plans to create a near-continuous, two-way segregated cycle track along the full length of Bradley Stoke Way. The route is part of a wider £31.8m scheme to improve walking, cycling and bus travel between Thornbury and south Bradley Stoke. Residents are encouraged to have their say on the proposals by 18th December.

Views sought on Bradley Stoke cycle highway proposals
Further details of plans to create a 2-way segregated cycle track along the full length of Bradley Stoke Way have been published by South Glos Council. The 3m-wide track is part of a suite of proposals to improve walking, cycling, wheeling, and bus travel between Thornbury and south Bradley Stoke. Subject to funding, construction could start in 2024 and take around two years to complete.

South Gloucestershire Council is encouraging people to have their say on a raft of proposals to improve walking, cycling and travelling by bus along Bradley Stoke Way. The scheme includes new bus lanes, upgraded crossings and segregated foot/cycle ways. If approved, the works could be implemented from “late 2023” and take up to two years to complete.
