An array of 16 ultra-rapid electric vehicle (EV) chargers looks set to be installed soon at the Willow Brook shopping centre in Bradley Stoke, more than five months after a planning application for the facility was first submitted. And following a separate application, two EV chargers may soon be provided in the car park at Bradley Pavilions (near Tesco Express).

A discount food store operator – rumoured to be Lidl – has been given permission to extend and move into a unit at Bradley Stoke’s Willow Brook shopping centre, despite concerns over a loss of parking. Anchor store Tesco and a South Gloucestershire ward councillor objected to the plans by the centre’s owners because it would mean losing a further 55 car park spaces…

Residents of the Stokes are being reminded that photo identification will be required in order to vote in person at a polling station in the upcoming local elections on Thursday 4th May. You may already have a form of photo ID that is acceptable, such as a passport or driving licence. Voters without an accepted form of photo ID can apply online for a free Voter Authority Certificate.

The fate of a planning application to create an extended retail unit at Bradley Stoke’s Willow Brook shopping centre – rumoured to be destined for occupation by Lidl – is set to be decided by a committee of South Gloucestershire councillors next week. Total car parking provision at the centre would be reduced by 55 spaces (from 927 to 872).

A number of bus services that cover Bradley Stoke and neighbouring areas will see changes from Sunday 2nd April 2023, with some being improved while others are having their routes trimmed or being transferred to a different operator. The services affected include T1, M1, M4, Y6, 10, 11, 12 and 963.

Indicative plans have been revealed for a proposed development of up to 58 apartments on land at the southern end of Bradley Stoke Way. Woodstock Homes says it is preparing to make a formal planning application for the construction of two 4-storey apartment blocks on an area of “low quality grassland” opposite the junction with The Worthys.
