First Bus service 73 set to return to axed stops on Woodlands Lane (but off-peak only)

Bradley Stoke’s 73 bus service, which has had its route truncated twice over the last 18 months, is to have a small part of its former route reinstated from September 2023, subject to regulatory approval. Operator First West of England is proposing to slightly extend the 73’s route so that it once again serves the full length of Woodlands Lane – but only at off-peak times.

Planning application submitted for 57-unit apartment blocks on Bradley Stoke Way

A formal planning application has now been submitted for a proposed development of 57 one- and two-bedroom apartments on land at the southern end of Bradley Stoke Way. Woodstock Homes, a privately owned developer based in the South West, wants to build two 4-storey apartment blocks on a triangular-shaped area of “low quality grassland” opposite the junction with The Worthys.

Permission refused for 5G mobile phone mast on Baileys Court Road

Planning officers at South Glos Council have refused permission for a 15m-high 5G mobile phone mast to be installed on the corner of Baileys Court Road and Webbs Wood Road (opposite Baileys Court Inn). The decision, made under delegated powers, is the fourth straight refusal in a series of similar applications for sites within Bradley Stoke that have been made by or on behalf of Three.
