A 26-year-old Filton man has been charged with 24 counts of arson after vehicles with a total estimated replacement value of £400,000 were destroyed at seven locations across the Stokes and Patchway in the early hours of Sunday 3rd April. His is due to appear at Bristol Crown Court on Wednesday 25th May.

Toolstation, the nationwide supplier of tools, accessories and building supplies, is to open a branch in north Bradley Stoke on Monday (16th May). The new outlet is located in the former Avis Rent a Car unit in Ash Ridge Road, near the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel. Seven new employment roles are being created in connection with the new branch.

A boss from First Bus has defended the firm’s rerouting of its 73 service such that it no longer makes a loop through the south-east corner of Bradley Stoke, along Webbs Wood Road and Baileys Court Road. Stops on this section were “exceptionally poorly used”, accounting for less than 1 percent of total patronage on the route, he claimed.
