South Gloucestershire Council has postponed a planned four-week closure of Stoke Lane that was due to start today (Monday 8th August). The road closure, which was announced barely a week ago, on Thursday 28th July, is needed to install additional traffic calming measures that include a new speed table and two new sets of speed cushions.

Giuseppe Dell’Anno, 2021 winner of TV’s ‘The Great British Bake Off’, was the star guest at this year’s ‘Wheatfest’ summer fair held at Wheatfield Primary School, where he acted as judge for ‘The Great Wheatfest Bake Off’ competition. Ticketless ‘Tap On, Tap Off’ (Toto) fare payment is now available on all MetroBus and First Bus services in the West of England.
