Welcome to the Journal’s guide to ‘warm spaces’ in and around Bradley Stoke.

With energy prices rocketing, many householders are struggling to keep their homes warm enough over the winter months. Fortunately, a number of organisations within our local community have stepped in to provide ‘warm spaces’ where people can stay warm for a few hours each day.

Tip: In the following listings. you can click on a post code to view a map showing the location of the venue.

Bradley Stoke churches

“You may have heard of ‘warm spaces’, places where people can gather for free, that are warm, welcoming and able to signpost to other resources that can help in times of financial need.  We are pleased to be able to offer such spaces in our local churches.”

Bradley Stoke Evangelical Church

Bradley Stoke Evangelical Church will be open every Monday from 2pm to 4pm. You can come and enjoy free refreshments, charge your devices, make use of the internet and find support and guidance to other available sources of help.

Christ the King Church

Christ the King will be open every weekday morning from 8am to 12 noon. They will be happy to offer a cuppa and a slice of toast!

“Don’t forget that we also have our fabulous Coffee Morning (which half of Bradley Stoke seems to attend!) every Friday between 9am and 11am.”

Bradley Stoke Town Council

“Please note that the Bradley Stoke Town Council community warm spaces have now closed for the summer.” (announcement on the town council website)

Bradley Stoke Town Council has set up ‘warm spaces’ across its three sites which offer a friendly welcome and are free to use. Hot drinks and biscuits are provided.

This initiative has been grant-funded through South Gloucestershire Council’s Welcome Spaces scheme.
