Willow Brook Townswomen’s Guild

Janine Smith, Chairperson of Willow Brook Townswomen’s Guild in 2010 writes:

The Willow Brook Townswomen’s Guild started in September 2009 when a group of ladies met at the Jubilee Centre with the intention of forming a new group of the Townswomen’s Guild who would meet on a regular basis in the evenings.

willow-brook-townswomens-guild-committeeMany groups were meeting in the daytime but an evening group for women was lacking in the area. The Townswomen’s Guild had put an advert in the Bradley Stoke Matters inviting all ladies along. From that meeting a committee of four was formed (photo) who then went on to put together an agenda of talks, outings, demonstrations, etc.

We now have a core group of about 30 members and are going from strength to strength.

We welcome all Ladies who are interested in making new friends, having fun and finding out about what their local area can offer them. It’s £3 on the door and if anyone is interested they can phone Janine on 01454-617645 for more information.
