Customers of the Tesco Express convenience store at Baileys Court in south Bradley Stoke have complained of being poorly informed about a near four-week temporary closure of the shop that began on Sunday afternoon (17th October 2021). The closure is understood to be needed for an “extensive refresh” of the store to be carried out.

The 2021 Bradley Stoke Scarecrow Trail held over the school summer holidays was a resounding success with hundreds of local families taking on the challenge of visiting all 29 figures. This was the second year for this community event, with the theme of the scarecrows this time being characters from children’s books, films or nursery rhymes.

A Bradley Stoke restaurant has announced a ten-day temporary closure due to staff shortages resulting from a Covid-19 ‘close contact’ notification. The closure of the Harvester restaurant at the town’s Willow Brook shopping centre was announced last Wednesday and it is currently foreseen that the venue will reopen on Saturday 28th August.

A popular car boot sale that takes place near Bradley Stoke has reopened for the 2021 season following a prolonged break due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The first sale at the Trench Lane site was held on Sunday 25th July and the weekly event will now continue until the end of October.
