The Bradley Stoke in Bloom group has announced details of its Best Front Garden competition for 2022. The competition entry form is available to download from the Bradley Stoke Town Council website. Paper copies may be picked up from the town council office. Entries close at 4pm on Thursday 21st July.

Sewing group supports ‘comfort blanket’ charity
Members of Bradley Stoke Sew and Sos have produced 36 quilts for Project Linus, an organisation which aims to provide a sense of security and comfort to sick and traumatised babies, children and teenagers through the provision of new homemade patchwork quilts and knitted blankets.

Customers and staff were evacuated from Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre yesterday (Monday 27th June) after the premises were affected by a fire that started in bushes outside the building. Avon Fire & Rescue Service crews from Patchway and Southmead attended the incident following a call to the emergency services at 5.42pm.

Bradley Stoke Town Council’s troubled £105,000 project to “refresh” the play area at Baileys Court Activity Centre has suffered another embarrassing setback. The latest delay has been caused by the contractors making a “surveying error”, meaning that some items of new play equipment won’t be able to fit in their approved positions.
