Fourteen-year-old Pearl Bruford from Bradley Stoke baked up a storm in 2021 for the second year running, raising £943 for the Brightwell Centre in Wheatfield Drive. Pearl began baking at the start of lockdown in 2020 as a way to raise money for the charity, which provides therapies, services and support for people living with long-term neurological conditions.

A military veteran from Bradley Stoke is taking part in a gruelling 3,000-mile charity fundraising challenge to row across the Atlantic from Gran Canaria to Barbados. Jason Gardiner is part of a team of four who are making the unsupported voyage to raise money and awareness for The Royal Marines Charity.

An 84-year-old Bradley Stoke pensioner has taken on a month-long challenge to walk three times a week around Little Stoke Park to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Society. The walkathon’s initial sponsorship target of £750 was reached by 8th April and it is now hoped to raise £1,500 by the end of April.
