The precise location of the incident is not detailed in the statement released by the police, but local sources say it was in Savages Wood (the area of woodland behind Bradley Stoke Leisure centre).

An article about the incident published by BBC West includes an image of a police car parked in an arm of Ellicks Close [map], close to the metal ‘tank bridge’ over Patchway Brook.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police said:

“Neighbourhood officers will be carrying out additional reassurance patrols as a result of this incident. If you have concerns or worries, please stop an officer and speak to them.”

“If you have information which could help, please call us on 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5222189662.”
