Another major road resurfacing scheme is set to get under way in Bradley Stoke on Thursday (17th September 2020), at Pear Tree Roundabout on Woodlands Lane (adjacent to the Toby Carvery).
As well as the roundabout itself, the approaches from Woodlands Lane, Pear Tree Road and Great Park Road will also be resurfaced (see plan below).
In contrast to the recent scheme on Orpheus Avenue and Brook Way, this work will be carried out overnight and is expected to take until Thursday 24th September 2020, with work taking place only on weekday nights.
The works will involve the planing off of the existing surface of the carriageway and the laying of a new surface. The work will start at 8pm each night and continue until approximately 6am the next morning.
A letter sent to local residents warns that the work will “create a significant amount of noise”.
All traffic will be diverted around the area whilst the road closures are in place.
A council spokesperson said:
“We will make every effort to ensure that access to properties and amenities fronting the site and whose only access is from the closed road, is kept available and the disruption to local residents is kept to a minimum. However, there may be periods of time when access to properties by vehicle will be unachievable, and for this, we apologise.”
“Please note that adverse weather conditions or plant / delivery problems may affect these times and dates.”

Take first exit and at next roundabout at Trench Lane go around it to revert to normal route.
Service 73 heading towards Cribbs Causeway: The reverse of the above.
