Bradley Stoke Library is inviting residents to a “murder mystery with a difference” event on the evening of Wednesday 15th September.
When poet Colonel Kipling’s reading at the Poetry Festival is interrupted by a murder, it falls to the audience to decide ‘whodunit?’ by following the plot and solving the clues in an intriguing murder mystery by poet Sara-Jane Arbury, supported by Poetry Can.
Audience members will be able to examine the evidence, consider the witness statements and interrogate the suspects before deciding whodunit. The corpse is fresh and there are suspects aplenty – who will uncover the person with the poetic licence to kill?
Cllr Heather Goddard, South Gloucestershire Council’s executive member for communities, said:
“With crime novels as popular as ever, this exciting event gives readers the chance to enjoy the genre even more.”
The ‘Murder in the Library’ event starts at 7:30pm. Tickets, costing £2.50 for library members and £5 for non-members include a glass of wine or juice, and are available from any South Gloucestershire library.
