A Bradley Stoke accountancy firm has been honoured with a ‘Best in the South West’ accolade at a national awards ceremony.

The nation’s top accountants gathered and celebrated in style on Tuesday 24th November 2015 at the British Accountancy Awards, London. This prestigious event recognises innovative business practices and celebrates professional excellence within the world of accountancy.

This year, Dunkley’s Chartered Accountants (based in Woodlands Lane) were nominated for two awards: Independent Firm South West and Business in the Community. Company director Mike Dunkley and his wife Gill attended the ceremony, held at The Brewery, and were delighted to win the prestigious Independent South West award.

Mike Dunkley explains what winning this award means for the business:

“This award is a real testament to the team’s constant hard work and dedication to our clients. The calibre of the other entries was high, so for us to be recognised in this way is incredible. Achievements such as this help us demonstrate to current and prospective clients that we deliver an excellent, professional and reliable service.”

Accountancy Age editor Kevin Reed had this to say about the winning practice:

“Many congratulations to Dunkley’s. The judges said the firm was very focused on its marketplace and was making good inroads into it. They fought off some strong regional competition.”

Entries to the awards were assessed on criteria such as growth, professionalism and innovation.
