Community groups in Bradley Stoke are being invited to apply for a £1,000 windfall – after The Journal teamed up with mobile phone giant Vodafone, which has a retail store at the town’s Willow Brook shopping centre.
Community Connection Awards are Vodafone’s way of “giving something back” to the communities in which their stores are located, and are intended to help charities that have a real, positive impact in the local area.
Journal readers are being asked to nominate the project or cause that they deem to be the most deserving of the Bradley Stoke store’s £1,000 award.
The winning project could be anything from buying new kit for a local football team to replacing kitchen equipment at a local day care centre or soup kitchen.
