Polling stations open for trio of elections

Elections in Bradley Stoke on Thursday 7th May 2015.

Bradley Stoke has seven polling stations open today for voting in the 2015 general, district and town elections.

The local polling stations (open until 10pm) are:

  • Baileys Court Activity Centre
  • Bradley Stoke Evangelical Church, Baileys Court Road
  • Brook Way Activity Centre
  • Church of Christ the King, Mautravers Close
  • Holy Trinity Church, Broad Croft
  • Jubilee Centre, Savages Wood Road
  • St Joseph’s Centre (within St Mary’s School), Juniper Way

As well as choosing a member of parliament to represent the Filton and Bradley Stoke parliamentary constituency, voters are also being asked to select their representatives on South Gloucestershire Council and Bradley Stoke Town Council.

Electors in the newly created parish of Stoke Lodge and The Common, who are being asked to select nine members for their new parish council, have a single polling station at Amberley Road Baptist Church.

The Journal will be reporting LIVE from tonight’s parliamentary count at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College’s WISE Campus, starting at around 10.30pm. The Press Association estimates that the result will be announced at around 2.30am.

Votes in the district and town/parish elections will be counted on Friday (8th May) at Thornbury Leisure Centre, with the results being announced in the late afternoon/early evening.
