The Olympus Academy Trust (OAT) has vacancies for community governors at its two academy schools, Bradley Stoke Community School and Abbeywood Community School.

A news item published on the OAT website explains:

“Community governors play an important role on the Local Governing Bodies (LGBs) of our schools. The role of governors is crucial for the effective leadership and management of our schools. The governing body complements the professional leadership of our headteachers and senior leadership by bringing a range of perspectives to the strategic direction and governance of the schools to ensure children and young people have access to exceptional education.”

“Community governors need to show a commitment to the wellbeing and progress of all its students. They need to work effectively with other governors to provide challenge and support to the schools in their continued successful development.”
