Residents invited to Neighbourhood Watch meeting

Neighbourhood Watch.

Police are inviting local residents to attend the next Neighbourhood Watch meeting on Tuesday 5th March, from 7:30pm, at the Jubilee Centre.

The neighbourhood team will be there to explain more about the scheme and how you can get involved.

The meeting is also a chance for current Neighbourhood Watch coordinators and volunteers to meet up.

According to the police, Neighbourhood Watch is one of their biggest and most successful crime prevention initiatives and the largest voluntary organisation in the country.

To find out more about the scheme visit the Neighbourhood Watch pages on the Avon and Somerset Police website.

The force doesn’t routinely publish a list of active Neighbourhood Watches, but a Freedom of Information request in 2010 revealed that they existed in the following Bradley Stoke streets:

Arden Close, Badgers Close, Berkeley Mead, Cooks Close, Cross Tree Grove, Crystal Way, Foxborough Gardens, Foxfield Ave, Harvest Close, Huckley Way, Juniper Way, Kemperleye Way, Lavender Way, Manor Farm Crescent, Meadow Way, Penrose Drive, Pimpernel Mead, Pursey Drive, Rush Close, Savages Wood Road, Saxon Way, Shepherds Walk, Shiels Drive, The Beeches, The Park, The Pasture, The Willows, Warren Close and Winsbury Way.
