A survey launched this week aims to find out how people feel about living in Bradley Stoke, whether residents are satisfied with existing community facilities/activities and whether there is a need for any new community groups or activities to be developed for the town.
The consultation is being carried out by Southern Brooks Community Partnership (SBCP) on behalf of Bradley Stoke Town Council, as part of ongoing community development work carried out by the charity using grant aid funding from the Council.
SBCP’s Winsome Barrett-Muir, who has designed the survey questionnaire in cooperation with Town Councillors, says she is hoping to get at least 400 responses, in order for the exercise to be statistically useful.
Ms Barrett-Muir said:
“We would welcome the participation of all residents of the town as this survey will help shape any new community development initiatives.”
“Previous community work has resulted in the formation of the Friends of Jubilee Green to help increase the use of the park, the creation of Bradley Stoke Community Radio and the support of several strategic groups in the town.”

Paper copies of the survey are available at Bradley Stoke Library, where completed forms can be posted into a collection box.
The survey will remain open until the end of January 2013 and SBCP says it will publish the results on its website in March 2013.
Anyone completing the survey is given the option of entering a prize draw to win an as yet unspecified prize.
