A band formed of sixth form students from Bradley Stoke Community School (BSCS) is preparing to launch its debut CD following a series of successful appearances at local music venues.
Little Intentions, an alternative/pop-punk band, is formed of Jack Steer (vocals & guitar), Ben Monnox (bass & backing vocals) and Elliot Mason (drums & backing vocals).
The band’s recent appearances have included gigs at The Fleece and The Louisiana in Bristol and Waves nightclub in Yate.
Little Intentions’ next gig will be at The Cooler in Bristol on 24th May, where they share the bill with Last Night’s Victory, Tyler Selway and Future Plans.
The band’s first demo CD entitled “Hard At Work” will be launched at a gig at Bradley Stoke Community School on Friday 25th May. Entry is just £2 and CDs will be available for £3. Doors open at 7:15pm, with support bands taking the stage from 7:30pm.
Another BSCS student band, A Holiday Rumour, have been in the news recently – thanks to their success in a national music competition.
The five-piece all-girl outfit performed at last month’s regional final of the Live and Unsigned contest in Cardiff and impressed the judges sufficiently to win through to the South West England and Wales area final in Reading on Sunday 27th May.
Success in Reading would give the girls a place at the prestigious Live and Unsigned Grand National Final which takes place at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday 14th July.
Both Little Intentions and A Holiday Rumour are scheduled to appear at Bradley Stoke Community Festival on Saturday 2nd June.
