Housebuilder Crest Nicholson has made a donation to purchase much-needed tea urns and mugs for Bradley Stoke Town Council’s Community Warm Spaces initiative. The gifted items have been donated on behalf of the communities at two of Crest Nicholson’s local developments, Brooklands Park and Highbrook View, both of which are in the adjoining parish of Stoke Gifford.

Police have made an arrest following an incident at the McDonald’s restaurant in Bradley Stoke in which a youth was seen with an object that “looked like a handgun”. Police attended and after examining CCTV footage a 16-year-old was arrested two days later. He has since been released on conditional bail. Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call 101.

Bradley Stoke councillors have voted to terminate a long-standing agreement that has seen the town council part-fund an additional part-time police officer on the local beat team. The decision was made after the police force requested a 16% increase in the town council’s contribution from April 2023, along with concerns over whether the council has been getting “value for money”.

Police are appealing for information after an elderly woman was spat at by a youth in Stoke Lodge. The victim, who is in her 70s, was driving when she encountered a small group of male youths walking. When the vehicle was stationary, one of the youths is reported to have opened the door, been aggressive and spat at the woman.
