Volunteers from Bradley Stoke Green Gym and the Saturday group are now back working in the Three Brooks Local Nature Reserve. The pond at The Common East is teeming with newts but several dead but ‘healthy’ looking foxes, rats, squirrels, hedgehogs and pigeons have been found in the area.

Meat van to trade at Willow Brook five days a week
A well-known firm of mobile butchers is to start trading at Bradley Stoke’s Willow Brook shopping centre from tomorrow (Wednesday 12th May 2021). A truck from Mark’s Mobile Butchers will trade from a location on the edge of the town square, near the Subway store, on five days each week.

An 84-year-old Bradley Stoke pensioner has taken on a month-long challenge to walk three times a week around Little Stoke Park to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Society. The walkathon’s initial sponsorship target of £750 was reached by 8th April and it is now hoped to raise £1,500 by the end of April.

A six-year-old girl from Bradley Stoke has raised more than £3,000 for a national cancer charity after taking part in a challenge to run 50km in a single month. The youngster decided she wanted to raise money for charity in memory of her Auntie Laura who sadly passed away in 2017 from leukaemia.

South Gloucestershire Council has announced that its £250,000 project to desilt the lake at Three Brooks Local Nature Reserve has been delayed until November 2021. The work was supposed to take place this winter, but has now been rescheduled due to delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
