South Gloucestershire agrees 3.9% council tax rise for 2009/2010

South Gloucestershire Council (SGC) has agreed a 3.9% increase in council tax for 2009/2010, the second lowest in the Council’s short history. Weather problems delay bin and recycling collections in Bradley Stoke

Refuse and recycling collections in Bradley Stoke were cancelled on Friday, due to the severe weather conditions. A notice posted on the South Gloucestershire Council website states that contractors SITA would be undertaking extra collections yesterday (Saturday), but no such collections are believed to have taken place.
