South Gloucestershire Council (SGC) has announced plans to replace Pelican crossings on Bradley Stoke Way and Savages Wood Road with “Toucan” alternatives. Notices displayed at the two crossings state that the proposals are being made after “consultation with the chief officer of police”. Friday (31st October) sees a performance of “Spoonface Steinberg” at Bradley Stoke Community School (7pm start). The event is intended to raise the profile of the performing arts within Bradley Stoke, an aim of the school since it was designated a Performing Arts and Languages College in September 2008.
