Westcoast Properties opens North Bristol office

The Patchway branch of Westcoast Properties.

A new name has begun appearing on estate agents’ boards across the north Bristol area following the opening of a new branch of Westcoast Properties, an independent and family-run agency with its roots in North Somerset.

Based in the former office of William Haig Patey at Patchway Roundabout, the new branch is headed up by Nicholas Webber, who has over 20 years experience in the industry, including eight years at Westcoast, and has now become a director of the Patchway branch.

Aiming to replicate the success achieved in Somerset and North Somerset, where the firm has four offices, the expansion marks an exciting step forward in Westcoast’s strategic programme of branch openings.

Specialising in residential sales and lettings, the Patchway office covers a wide area that includes Patchway, Charlton Hayes, Stoke Lodge, Little Stoke, Bradley Stoke, Winterbourne, Severn Beach, Easter Compton and Pilning.

“The key reason for coming here is the volume of current and planned development across north Bristol,” explained Nicholas. “We already have the Charlton Hayes site under construction and it will eventually be followed by the redevelopment of the Filton Airfield site and several other major housing developments.”

“This is already a very busy area, with all the industry and business parks that we have. The rental market is particularly strong, thanks to the presence of major employers such as the MoD, Rolls-Royce and Royal Mail. Lots of our customers are relocating from other areas of the country, as well as from overseas. On top of that, the first time buyer market is very buoyant here.”

“On average, for each property on our books, we are seeing around twice the demand that we would expect to see at our other branches. Levels of business are better than expected and we are in need of more stock for both sales and lettings.”

Nicholas added that the modernisation of the Patchway office has been well received. The firm is looking to strengthen links with the local community and has already sponsored a number of events at local schools.

As members of NAEA (National Association of Estate Agents) and ARLA (Association of Residential Letting Agents), Westcoast staff are assessed and qualified, ensuring that clients receive a reputable and proficient service.

Properties on the firm’s books are listed on the Rightmove and OnTheMarket portals as well as on Westcoast’s own website at www.westcoast-properties.co.uk
