[Advertising Feature] South Gloucestershire residents interested in clothes, fashion and reinventing their wardrobe are encouraged to attend Bradley Stoke’s very first Fashion Fayre on Saturday 5th November.

The event will be held at The Jubilee Centre, Savages Wood Road in Bradley Stoke and will run from 10am until 3pm. It has been organised by SITA UK and South Gloucestershire Council’s SORT IT!* Team.

Sarah Ottaway, Waste Minimisation Manager, at SITA UK said:

“Regular catwalk shows will be showcasing an array of styles and inventive ways of making the most of your wardrobe, a range of charity shops and vintage retailers will be selling great clothes at prices to suit any budget and you could even breathe life into that old pair of jeans, by turning them into a new shoulder bag in one of our great workshops!”

The whole family can join in, by turning an old t-shirt into a work of art using the pedal powered painting machine, (please bring along a t-shirt to create your masterpiece). Then they can jump on a pedal powered sewing machine and make some fabulous bunting to decorate the event or their home (materials provided).

Charities that have confirmed their involvement in the event include British Heart Foundation, St Peter’s Hospice and Clic Sargent and others are considering taking part too. Not for profit organisation the APE Project and local business Create & Grow will also be running themed workshops.

There is still room for additional charities, organisations and groups to get involved; so if you are interested please contact the SORT IT!* Team at sortitteam@sita.co.uk or call 01454 868000.

All the charities involved will be accepting donations, so you can also bring your unwanted clothes and donate them to the charity of your choice. For more information, please contact the SORT IT!* Team at sortitteam@sita.co.uk or call 01454 868000.
